Pankaj Tripathi, Madhuri Dixit, and Shahid Kapoor will headline the 54th IFFI Opening Ceremony


<p>From November 20 to 28, Goa will host the 54th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). <p>The Shamaprasad Indoor Stadium in Panaji, Goa will host the festival, which is expected to include around 250 films in its many divisions. Following the ceremony’s opening, Aparshakti Khurrana and Karishma Tanna will serve as hosts.</p>
<p>At this historic moment, a number of dignitaries are anticipated to be there in addition to well-known figures from Indian film, such as Sunny Deol, Vijay Sethupathi, Sara Ali Khan, and Karan Johar.</p>
<p>At the opening gala of the 54th IFFI, Indian actresses and filmmakers have been invited to showcase their future projects. Actress Sara Ali Khan and director Karan Johar, together with the crew behind “Ae Watan Mere Watan,” are scheduled to provide the first glimpse of the drama-thriller.</p>
<p>During the showcase, Sukhwinder Singh will perform the motivational title tune from the movie. The movie follows Usha Mehta’s adventure when she founded Congress Radio, an underground radio station during the Quit India Movement in 1942. For a few months, Congress Radio carried news that was forbidden or unedited.</p>
<p>Then, Aniruddha Roy Choudhary, the National Award-winning filmmaker of the criminal thriller “Kadak Singh,” will be introduced by Pankaj Tripathi, Shantanu Moitra, Shreya Ghoshal, and Taba Chake.</p>
<p>The movie tells the tale of AK Shrivastav, a Department of Financial Crimes inspector who, while suffering from retrograde amnesia, discovers the truth about a chit fund scam.</p>
<p>The teaser for Vijay Sethupathi’s dark comedy “Gandhi Talks,” which is a silent film set in the current day and centers on four characters—Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Siddharth Jadhav, and Aditi Rao Hydari—will also be shown.</p>
<p>Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha and IFFI will continue the song and dance routine as they celebrate “The India Story.” The Oscar-winning song “Naatu Naatu” from “RRR” will evoke memories of grandeur, while the song “Sami Sami” from “Pushpa” will symbolize the rising popularity of South Indian film.</p>
<p>The festivities are scheduled to last for a week. “This IFFI will have 13 World Premieres, 18 International Premieres, 62 Asia Premieres, and 89 India Premieres,” said Prithul Kumar, Festival Director-IFFI (Jt. Secretary (Films) & MD/NFDC), in a statement. The greatest of Indian and global cinema may be found in these films, which cut beyond all boundaries and cultural boundaries.”</p>
<p>“This upholds the strong duty to carry on the tradition of exhibiting cinematic brilliance at the 54th IFFI. The Festival Team is putting in a lot of effort to ensure that attendees enjoy the excellent films, have thought-provoking conversations, and go home with lifelong memories,” he said.</p>
<p>Amit Trivedi, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, Salman Khan, Vidya Balan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Anupam Kher, Vicky Kaushal, Siddharth Malhotra, Aditi Rao Hydari, AR Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal, Shantanu Moitra, Sukhwinder Singh, and other well-known filmmakers would also grace the esteemed festival.</p>
<p>Amit Trivedi, a music composer, and Ayushmann Khurrana will be the main attractions during the closing ceremony.</p>
<p>Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Male and Female), “Special Jury Award,” “Best Web Series on an OTT Platform,” “Indian Film Personality of the Year,” and the ICFT UNESCO Gandhi Medal will also be given out during the closing ceremony.</p>
