<p>Raghav Chadha, a suspended member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was advised by the Supreme Court on Friday to offer Rajya Sabha chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar a “unconditional apology” for his removal from the parliament. The chairman of the Rajya Sabha was also advised to adopt a “sympathetic” stance by a bench led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud.</p>

<p>According to the CJI, the legislator must meet with the chairman of the Rajya Sabha in order to provide an unqualified apologies for the incident.</p>
<p>He continued by saying that the vice president may adopt a sympathetic stance toward the situation as a whole and take more action.</p>
<p>Since August 11, Chadha has been suspended after a number of MPs—the bulk of whom are members of the governing BJP—accused him of signing their names to a motion without getting their permission.</p>
<p>A select committee was to be established to look at the controversial Delhi Services Bill.</p>
<p>The Punjabi Rajya Sabha MP was accused of introducing a proposal to submit the Delhi Services Bill to a select committee. It was stated that he had designated some politicians as members of the planned committee, and that some of the MPs had not approved of it.</p>
<p>The chairman took notice of the allegation and placed Chadha on leave while the Committee on Privileges conducted an investigation.</p>
