<p>In his speech, the prime minister praised the late chairman of the Mafatlal Group for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the underprivileged, tribal people, and adivasis, and for marking the centennial of the late business magnate and renowned philanthropist Arvind Mafatlal’s birth in Chitrakoot, Satna district, Madhya Pradesh.</p>
<p>The PM said, “I was working in the service of adivasis who had been affected by a severe famine when I first met Arvind Bhai in Gujarat when I was very young.”</p>
<p>In his eulogy for the late Arvind Bhai Mafatlal, Mr. Modi remarked, “The way Arvind Bhai carried out his mission for the uplift of the drought-hit tribals left an indelible impression on me and ever since I feel an emotional connect with the mission and trust started by him.”</p>
<p>The PM said, “The mission of Arvind Bhai has taught us that dedication is the priority but resources are indeed a necessity for service.”</p>
<p>We should all take a lesson from the life and achievements of Arvind Bhai Mafatlal, he remarked.</p>
<p>The Prime Minister said that due to Arvind Mafatlal’s vision and commitment, the Mafatlal Group established the first petrochemical complex in India and gained recognition in the textile, agricultural, and many other industries both domestically and internationally.</p>
<p>He remarked that the Mafatlal Group has a very prestigious position in both the social and industrial spheres.</p>
<p>One of the most well-known eye hospitals in the nation and the globe, according to the PM, is the Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, which is managed by the Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, which was established by the late Arvind Mafatlal. The hospital today handles almost 15 lakh patients yearly, having begun with 12 beds.</p>
<p>“This hospital has a special connection with my Kashi too, as hospital doctors have operated on about ninety thousand people in and around Banaras, especially the elderly,” the prime minister said.</p>

<p>The PM said that he and many others were inspired by the Sadguru Seva Sangh. He anticipated that lakhs of people will be given fresh life by the Jankikund Hospital’s newly opened section. He emphasized that Nanaji Deshmukh, who likewise dedicated his life to the care and advancement of tribals and adivasis, was born in Chitrakoot.</p>
<p>Mr. Modi expressed gratitude for being at Chitrakoot, a place where Lord Ram has bestowed his blessings. He predicted that when we establish a new India in the future, it would be because of Lord Ram’s embrace of the tribals and adivasis.</p>
<p>The Prime Minister visited the Raghuveer Temple Trust, a multispecialty hospital operated by the trust, opened a new wing, and asked Jagad Guru Rambhadracharya of the Tulsi Peeth for blessings during his more than two and a half hour stay in Chitrakoot today afternoon.</p>
<p>On this occasion, dignitaries including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and MP Governor Mangu Bhai Patel were present.</p>
