<p>The financial assistance package for Laxman’s sacrifice is intended to recognize and respect his commitment to service. The package consists of a non-contributory insurance payout of 48 lakh rupees, an ex-gratia payment of 44 lakh rupees, a contribution from Agniveer to Seva Nidhi of 30%, which is matched by a contribution from the government, and the interest accrued on these monies.</p>
<p>The soldier’s salary for the remaining time, from the time of his untimely death to the end of his four-year term, is also included. In the current environment, the total cost exceeds 13 lakh.</p>
<p>The soldier’s family would also get an extra payment from the Armed Forces Battle Casualty Fund of 8 lakh. This extra assistance is meant to help relieve the family’s financial burdens during this trying time.</p>
<p>The Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) has come up and offered financial help in the amount of $30,000 in an attempt to give immediate assistance and support to the soldier’s family. This donation is intended to help the soldier’s grieving family with some of their immediate financial responsibilities.</p>
<p>It is critical to emphasize the difficult and dangerous circumstances that troops experience in Siachen, where they must deal with bitter cold, frostbite, and ferocious strong winds.</p>
